As head of Truist Leadership Institute, Kim Fleming is responsible for managing the institute to help develop exceptional leaders, unite teams and strengthen organizations.
Kim is a seasoned human capital executive with a distinguished record of leading enterprise-scale workforce and HR initiatives. With deep expertise across the full human capital spectrum, including workforce strategy, talent and succession management, leadership development, strategic workforce planning, workforce analytics, and engagement, she brings both breadth and precision to complex business challenges. Her career includes multiple senior leadership roles at Truist and SunTrust Bank, where she led teams and initiatives that drove measurable value and positioned the organization to anticipate and meet the demands of an evolving talent landscape.
Kim is deeply passionate about using data to solve complex problems and is energized by the intersection of human potential and analytics, uncovering insights that unlock value for individuals, teams, and entire organizations. Whether leading a complex transformation or building the systems that enable sustained change, she approaches every challenge as an opportunity to make work—and the experience of those doing it—better. She also oversees the company’s enterprise learning, skills, career development and serves as Human Resources’ chief of staff.
Prior to SunTrust, she led corporate organization and leadership development at Express Scripts Inc., a pharmacy benefit management company, and provided organizational development and leadership consulting to Ameren, a Midwest-based utility headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
In addition to her corporate work, she serves on the board of directors for First Step Staffing and on the executive committee of the Atlanta Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF).
