Jeremy Spidell is Senior Vice President, Director of Client Engagement at Truist Leadership Institute. He contributes to the strategic direction of Truist Leadership Institute and oversees the business development, marketing, and branding efforts for the organization. He has held this position since September of 2021 and is a member of Truist Leadership Institute’s Senior Leadership Team.
Previously, Spidell served as an Executive Consultant at Truist Leadership Institute from March 2019 until September 2021. In this role, he facilitated leadership development programs for individual leaders and teams, delivered keynote addresses, and served as an executive coach. Before joining Truist, he worked as a therapist in the mental health field, practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He also created Optimental, an organization designed to help business leaders, athletes, coaches, and teams improve their performance by improving their mindsets and relationships.
From 2002 to 2012, Spidell co-owned and operated Bluezoom, an advertising and marketing firm that won over thirty local, national, and international awards. They were also named in the Triad Business Journal’s Fast 50 list of fastest-growing, privately held companies. Today, he leverages his experiences as a small business owner, mental health therapist, and leadership consultant to guide individuals and organizations toward stronger performance through better leadership.
Spidell participated as a mentor and site coordinator for the African American Male Initiative and served as board member for Downtown Greensboro, Incorporated. He has also coached basketball for fifteen seasons, most recently as an assistant varsity boys coach at Greensboro Day School.
