Bill Sclama is Vice President, Consultant at Truist Leadership Institute. He supports the design and delivery of leadership development experiences and brings deep expertise in organizational learning, human resources, and leader readiness. He joined Truist Leadership Institute in February 2026.
Bill began his leadership development career at the United States Military Academy at West Point, serving in progressive academic and leadership roles including Instructor, Assistant Professor, Deputy Course Director, and Director of Curriculum & Instruction.
He later transitioned to the corporate sector, most recently as Director of Training at HAECO in Greensboro, NC, where he designed and delivered technical and leadership programs across multiple U.S. sites.
Prior to HAECO, Bill held senior learning and development roles across several industries. He served as Director of Learning & Development at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and also contributed to Talent Development initiatives at Honda Aircraft Company and executive leadership development at The Boeing Company.
Bill began his professional career as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army, leading teams in global assignments and deployments in Iraq and Kosovo.
